MOTHER FLASK MEDIA · This media is used for the initial sowing of the seed, and only needs to be a thin layer in the flask, as the protocorms are transferred to the #2 flask almost immediately after germination. Put the media, sugar, and agar into the blender. After measuring the volume of water, I boil the water in a kettle, and pour it into the glass container of the blender. Pulse the blender when safe. Blend on high for at least two minutes!! Then pour into the flasks about 10mm thick.
